Willy Silver had been kind, and now that Fawn was more comfortable wandering around the city he decided to seek him out. It was hard finding the bar again, but the petite fae managed, and he headed inside to find the other prince.
When he spotted him by the bar, Fawn silently made his way over and pulled himself up onto the high stool beside him.
"Well met, Willy Silver," he said.

"This sounds promising," he smiled. "Let's go get cake."
The bakery wasn't far from the Alpha and they were beginning to close up. There were only three cakes to choose from at this hour.
"Which shall it be?" he asked.

Date: 2021-04-13 03:28 am (UTC)"That one," Fawn said, pointing to a pink monstrosity.

"Have you any money?" he asked.

Date: 2021-04-13 03:50 am (UTC)"I do!" Fawn nodded, looking excited as he pulled a crisp fifty pound note from his pocket. "Is this enough?"
no subject
Date: 2021-04-13 11:00 am (UTC)"More than enough," he nodded.
Once the cake was Fawn's, Willy smiled.
"I have an idea. Let's enjoy it in the sunset. I know a place."

Date: 2021-04-13 01:50 pm (UTC)"But I already told John we were bringing it home," Fawn replied, confused.

Date: 2021-04-13 01:54 pm (UTC)"You are very focused," Willy smiled. He was sure this was a bad idea, but the little fae wasn't going to be lured.
He used to be much better at this.
Resigned to the invitation, he nodded.
"Another sunset tomorrow, then."

Date: 2021-04-13 10:46 pm (UTC)"I don't want to worry him," Fawn replied, taking the cake with a nod of thanks.
It wasn't too long of a walk back to the flat, and he passed Willy the cake so he could open the door.

Date: 2021-04-13 10:50 pm (UTC)Willy hesitated at the door. He could feel the wards. He could feel how unwelcome he was.
And yet he followed Fawn in, the power of the fae's claim to the home and the invitation allowing him to enter without trouble.
"What in the bloody fuck," John said when he saw him towering over Fawn.
"Well met, John Constantine," Willy said. His magic fizzled out. Invite or not, he had no power here.

Date: 2021-04-13 10:59 pm (UTC)"I sent you a text," Fawn said, looking confused. "I have brought home cake, and a friend."
no subject
Date: 2021-04-13 11:16 pm (UTC)"You didn't say who the friend was," John said.
He wasn't angry, but was on guard.
Willy smiled devilishly.
"Fawn invited me into his home. Come dine with us, warlock," he said with perfect, formal manners.

Date: 2021-04-13 11:23 pm (UTC)"Willy is trying to convince me to leave, so I wanted to show him why I stay," Fawn explained, looking worried. "...Did I do something wrong?"

Date: 2021-04-13 11:58 pm (UTC)John sighed softly.
"No, love, you didn't do anything wrong," he said. He'd practically pushed him out the door, and it really was no wonder he'd make friends with Willy Silver. Of all people.
Willy's smile curved a little more into a smirk, then vanished. He waved a hand and dishes floated from the kitchen to adorn the table. The sharpest of John's knived passed right before his face on its way to the cake.

Date: 2021-04-14 12:12 am (UTC)Fawn perked up a little and smiled.
"Come dine then! I bought a big cake!" Fawn said cheerfully.

Date: 2021-04-14 12:21 am (UTC)The knife cut the cake and soon the each had a slice.
John glared at Willy. Willy was unperturbed and took a bite.
"A very good choice, little one. Delicious."

Date: 2021-04-14 12:40 am (UTC)Fawn happily stabbed his slice with his fork, purring as he took a bite.
It was sweet, with a bit of strawberries. Perfect.

Date: 2021-04-14 05:51 am (UTC)John ate in silence. He knew better than to refuse the fae.
"This is very good," Willy decided. "And your home is pleasant," he added, pointedly looking at John. The place tasted of fae magic, despite all the warlocks wards.
That amused him.

Date: 2021-04-14 02:53 pm (UTC)Fawn beamed proudly, looking at John.

Date: 2021-04-14 05:08 pm (UTC)Now that Willy said it, John felt like a supreme dumbass. Yes. Yes, it was Fawn's home. That meant he could let anyone in.
They were going to have to have a serious chat about that.
"It's really good," he nodded, having a difficult time taking his eyes off Willy. But he finally did look over at Fawn. "It's a really nice surprise.
Willy could see the way the warlock grew tender. Only for a moment, but it was there. Willy knew all about love and infatuation. He watched people and wrote the songs of their hearts. And when John returned to glare at him, Willy laughed aloud.
"You're a fool," he laughed at John.

Date: 2021-04-14 10:03 pm (UTC)"You're being rude, Willy," Fawn cautioned. "John isn't a fool, he's very clever."

Date: 2021-04-14 10:22 pm (UTC)John looked into Willy's shining eyes.
"No, no. He's not wrong," John replied, resigned to it since a fucking faerie he didn't even know it could see it. Maybe, maybe he could keep Fawn in the dark, though. He didn't want him to feel obligated to stay.
"Are you, erm, going to bring people round often?" he asked, just a touch nervously.
no subject
Date: 2021-04-14 10:40 pm (UTC)"Not if it makes you uneasy," Fawn said, feeling as though he's done something wrong.

Date: 2021-04-14 10:54 pm (UTC)"I think it's me, little one," Willy said gently. "You see, John and I have met and we share similar feelings for each other." He couldn't have possibly explained the tension more politely.
"Is that right, John Constantine? It's not company in general...it's not even fae in general. It's me."
John scowled at him.
"Yeah, mate. It's absolutely you," the warlock said tightly.
